Watching raw gameplay footage lets you see how a game actually feels to play, from the flow of combat to the way the camera sticks behind the character. It reveals the pace, the UI clutter, and those unscripted moments where a player makes a mistake or pulls off something clever. There is no better way to gauge if you will enjoy the mechanics than seeing what happens when someone else is just messing around.
